Hugh Ker Thomson, M.D.
Dr. Thomson received his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Jefferson College and his medical degree from the University of Texas. Following his internship in general surgery at UTMB Galveston and his residency in anesthesiology at UT Health & Science Center Houston, Dr. Thomson served as an instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical in Dallas. He has served the people of the Greater Houston area at numerous local hospitals and also in private practice.
Chief Executive Officer
Dan Smith has over 20 years of experience in health care finance and operations working in the for-profit health care sectors as both a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Since joining Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital First Colony in 2012, Mr. Smith has been an active leader in the community organizations including the Fort Bend Education Foundation where he serves as a board member. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M Commerce. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two Girls.

Chief Nursing Officer
As chief nursing officer of Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital – First Colony, Ms. Clark oversees all clinical operations and medical staff, in addition to maintaining our compliance with all regulatory agencies. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governor’s University.
