Ultrasound

What is an Ultrasound?

Ultrasound is a non-invasive test that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of structures inside the body.

The images are taken using a handheld probe called a transducer. A technician will pass the transducer over the part of your body to be examined and will see the images in real-time on a computer screen.
